Terroir Syrah 2022
Hand-harvested grapes undergo meticulous sorting to select only the best. After destemming, a 24-hour cold maceration enhances flavours before fermentation begins. Selected yeast strains and regular pump overs ensure excellent extraction of colour and tannins. An extended maceration period on the skins adds complexity. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, achieving remarkable structure, elegance, and depth.
The 2022 Syrah is a refined expression of our estate’s unique terroir. Aromas of blackberries and ripe plums are elegantly intertwined with notes of black pepper, baking spices, and a subtle touch of smoky oak. The palate reveals a rich tapestry of dark fruit flavours, where luscious blueberries and mulberry mingle with hints of dried herbs. The careful integration of French oak aging contributes layers of vanilla, clove, and gentle smokiness, adding depth and enhancing the wine’s sophisticated character. Silky tannins provide a velvety texture that glides smoothly across the palate, leading to a luxuriously long and elegant finish. This Syrah is perfect for special occasions or as the centrepiece of an unforgettable dining experience, showcasing the harmony of fruit, spice, and oak.

2022 Gilbert & Gaillard – Double Gold
The grapes for this Syrah are sourced from a single vineyard situated at a lower elevation within the estate. The vineyard’s south-west aspect shields the vines from excessive summer heat, ensuring gradual ripening and optimal colour development. The sandy loam soils, with their excellent drainage, create controlled moisture stress, concentrating flavours and enhancing the wine’s complexity. Meticulous canopy management ensures balanced fruit exposure and physiologically ripe tannins, which elevate the quality of the grapes.
