Drinking With Purpose Cape Fusion Red 2022
Individual components—Shiraz, Pinotage and Malbec—are harvested in the cool morning hours, then carefully sorted and de-stemmed to ensure only the finest fruit is used. Each undergoes alcoholic fermentation before being matured in 300 ℓ French oak barrels, allowing the wines to develop depth and complexity.
After maturation, the finest barrels are skilfully selected and blended, resulting in a wine that is harmonious, structured, and expressive, perfectly balancing the flavour, texture, and character of each variety
Fresh, elegant, packing mid-palate weight. These three diverse cultivars create a harmonious blend with complex layers of spice, mocha and dark berry aromas. The palate is full around with luscious blackberry, dark chocolate and sweet violet flavours with a dry yet fruity finish.

2022 Gilbert & Gaillard – Gold
The Pinotage is planted at an elevation of 250 m, the highest point on the farm, on southwest-facing slopes with nutrient- and moisture-rich Tukulu soils. This aspect provides gentle afternoon sun, allowing for even ripening while maintaining natural acidity and freshness in the grapes.
The Shiraz is grown at a lower elevation of 100 m on shallower Oakleaf soils, which naturally limit vine vigour. Combined with precise irrigation management, this results in slightly dehydrated berries with smaller size and concentrated spiciness, structure, and flavour.
The Malbec vineyard lies at 170 m, also on southwest-facing slopes with Tukulu soils. The fertile yet well-drained soils support the development of elegant, deeply coloured berries, while the slope orientation ensures consistent afternoon sunlight, enhancing flavour concentration and overall balance.
